Prenatal & Motherhood Counselling
Victoria BC, Cowichan Valley BC & Online Across BC
Support for Every Stage
of Becoming & Being a Mother
Whether you're trying to conceive, currently pregnant, adjusting to life with a new baby, or years into motherhood and still finding it hard some days, you don't have to carry it alone. Our counsellors in Victoria and the Cowichan Valley, BC, offer trauma-informed, body-aware support for the parts of motherhood that don't always make it into the baby books: the anxiety, the grief, the identity shifts, the exhaustion that sleep doesn't fix.
We see clients in person at our Victoria and Cowichan Valley offices, and online across BC.
Planning to conceive - including anxiety around fertility, past losses, or the emotional weight of trying
Currently pregnant - preparing emotionally for birth and the identity shift of becoming a mother
New moms - adjusting to postpartum life, sleep deprivation, changed relationships, and a body and mind that feel unfamiliar
Struggling moms at any stage - burnout, rage, disconnection, grief for who you were before, or a sense that something isn't right and you don't know what to call it
If none of those labels quite fit, that's okay. A lot of people who come to us for this work don't arrive with a tidy plan. They arrive tired, overwhelmed, or quietly worried they're failing at something everyone else seems to find natural.

Meet the Counsellors
Jenni Fehr, MSW, RSW - Registered Social Worker
Individual counselling: $160/session.
In Victoria office & online for BC residents.
Jenni’s approach is body-based and bio-psycho-social: she sees the exhaustion, disconnection, or grief that can come with new motherhood as part of a bigger picture, not an isolated problem to fix. Jenni is also a mother herself, which has reshaped her relationship to her own healing and deepened her commitment to supporting other mothers through it.
Jenni also leads A Mother's Soul, a preparation group for people who are currently pregnant or planning to be, running Sundays this fall 2026 at Wild Roots Studio in Victoria.
Adria Lipsett, MA, RCC - Registered Clinical Counsellor
Individual counselling: $150/session.
In both Victoria & Cowichan Valley offices, & online across BC.
Adria's focus areas include life transitions, caregiving, grief and loss, and burnout, the terrain a lot of mothers find themselves in whether or not "postpartum" is the right word for it. She is a mother of twins which has deepened her capacity for patience and presence in the therapy room. Her approach blends nature-based grounding, narrative therapy, and somatic work, useful if you're someone who feels stuck in your head and wants a way back into your body.
Cleia Sangster, PhD - Intern Counsellor
Individual counselling: Free first session, then $35/session.
In Victoria office.
Cleia holds a PhD in Developmental Psychology and spent a decade working with newcomer women, survivors of intimate partner violence, and parents of babies and teens in the nonprofit sector before training as a counsellor. Mothering and motherhood issues are her main areas of focus, alongside attachment and parent–adult child relationships. She works from a narrative therapy lens, grounded in the idea that you are not your problems and that you have an innate wisdom that can guide you when the noise is quieted.
Ashley Bishop, MA (Cand.) - Registered Nurse & Intern Counsellor
Individual counselling: Free first session, then $35/session.
In Cowichan Valley office & online across BC.
Ashley spent her nursing career in labour and delivery, postpartum, and pediatrics before training as a counsellor, and she holds a Perinatal Nursing Specialty from BCIT. Her areas of focus name this work directly: perinatal mental health, postpartum depression and anxiety, and pregnancy loss and infertility. She's open that her path into counselling came out of needing more support during her own motherhood journey than the hospital system offered after discharge.
