READY FOR CHANGE?
LET’S TURN YOUR STORM INTO A STORY OF STRENGTH
Psychedelic integration Counselling in Victoria, BC & Online
Getting ready for a journey or making sense of one you've already had?
Strength in Heart has specialized in psychedelic integration counselling since 2018. We help people make sense of non-ordinary state experiences, and carry what they learned into how they actually live.
A journey doesn’t start at the beginning of a non-ordinary state experience session, it begins as soon as you start to consider having a non-ordinary state experience.
It also doesn’t end when the effects wear off. It's common to keep turning it over for days or weeks afterward, sometimes without knowing what to do with what surfaced.
What is Psychedelic integration counselling?
Integration counselling is for anyone who has had, or is planning, a non-ordinary state experience and wants professional support to turn potential insights into lasting change. For some people, ordinary life feels overwhelming for a while afterward. Others stay confused or anxious once the experience is over. Either way, you get a non-judgmental, compassionate counsellor to think it through with, someone trained specifically in this territory rather than encountering it for the first time in your session.
If any of this sounds familiar we can help
You had a non-ordinary state experience and don't know what to do with what came up.
You've felt anxious, irritable, or foggy since the experience ended.
Something you saw, heard, or felt during the journey keeps resurfacing, and you can't place it.
You're planning a first experience and want to prepare for safety and depth before you begin.
You've done this work before and keep circling the same edge each time.
A journey shifted how you see a relationship, a career, or a habit, and the people around you haven't caught up yet.
…and more! Book a free 20 minute consultation with one of our psychedelic integration therapists to learn more about how we can support you.
We welcome you at any stage of your journey.
Before your first journey
You're planning to work with a non-ordinary state medicine & want a clear-eyed conversation about safety, process & what integration usually requires, before you begin.
Working with confusion
Something in the experience won't resolve on its own, an image, a symbol, a message you can't decode. You want to think it through with someone trained in this work, not dismissive of it.
After a hard experience
In the time since your journey you’ve been experiencing anxiety, irritability, confusion, low mood, or intrusive thoughts.
Deepening your practice
You've done several journeys and keep reaching the same edge. You want to go further into your own growth or entheogenic work without losing your footing.
Why start before things get hard?
If you're exploring non-ordinary states, already having an existing relationship with a counsellor can be very helpful. If a journey does turn difficult, we already know you, and we have the training and experience to help you make sense of it and integrate back into your life.
Sometimes a journey changes how you see a relationship, a career, or a long-standing habit before the people around you have caught up. We can also help you navigate that gap, at home and at work.
Psychedelic integration counselling is not about encouraging psychedelic use. It's harm reduction and post-experience care. We don't supply substances, legal or illegal, and we don't refer clients to underground therapists or guides.
Given how many Canadians are now encountering psychedelics, through legal ketamine clinics, clinical trials, or on their own, we consider this a necessary service. Our job is to help you to plan ot integrate what happened safely and put it to use.
