My Story
I was born on the unceded territories of the Siksika, Piikani, Amskaapipikani, and Kainai First Nations, as well as the Chiniki, Bearspaw, Goodstoney & Tsuut’ina First Nations. In 2008, I moved to the unceded territories of the Songhees, Esquimalt, W̱SÁNEĆ, and lək̓ʷəŋən-speaking peoples, where I am grateful to now call home.
My early life was shaped by navigating significant adversity and instability at home. To cope, I developed a keen sensitivity to my environment—learning to recognize subtle signs of tension and adapt quickly, whether by finding ways to diffuse, escape, or address challenges head-on. At the same time, I was often encouraged to ignore my own instincts and intuition in favour of others’ perspectives, which made it difficult to trust myself and my experiences.
Since 2004, I have been deeply engaged in a journey of healing and personal growth. This path has shown me the profound transformation that therapy and holistic, non-colonial approaches can offer—freedom, connection, and a true sense of belonging. My own healing has incorporated practices such as earth-based medicine, creative movement, art, and spirituality, all of which have supported my growth and self-understanding.
I am especially passionate about leadership—both as an inner quality we can nurture and as a collaborative process that unfolds when we meet life’s challenges together. I believe authentic leadership means listening deeply, trusting our intuition, and stepping forward when our unique strengths are needed.
I am also inspired by the evolving landscape of healing, where modern research increasingly validates ancient traditions. I believe in a relational, collaborative approach to therapy and personal development—one that honours each person’s lived experience and potential for growth.
If you are seeking a counsellor who brings both lived experience and professional expertise, I offer a compassionate, intuitive, and empowering approach to support your healing journey.
