My Approach
The values of unity, awareness, understanding, and ethics of justice play a strong role in both my personal life and my professional therapeutic perspective. Based on my experience I have learned that there are no shortcuts to healing, however we all have a natural healing capacity which we can access (or re-access!). I will assist you to connect with your innate healing nature through a collaborative process of sharing, reflecting, receiving, and remembering. Ultimately, my goal is to align my work with a larger vision of a healthy, heart-centered humanity.
I am experienced in working with addictions recovery, anxiety, trauma, and psychedelic-assisted therapy. Relationship building, parts work, mindfulness, acceptance & commitment therapy, and body-based practices largely influence my approach, alongside the wisdom I embody through my own recovery work.

My story
I grew up in the traditional territories of the Cree, Dene, Dakota, & Métis Nations (Winnipeg, MB) in a marginalized family dynamic. My ancestry is French (Catholic) & German (Mennonite). My intentional healing journey began when I moved to Vancouver Island 10 years ago. After years of travel, & years of indulging in addictive behaviours & patterns, I realized I had been running from major painful traumas of my past, & it was time I faced them. For me it was true that the “only way out was through”. My capacity to acknowledge & hold my pain (& the pain of the world) remains the most powerful catalyst for my own growth, & in turn, my ability to support others to grow. Healing with nature, art, therapy, dance, community, yoga, & psychedelic medicines, has helped me restore my sense of worth, belonging, security, & wholeness. Since, I have been drawn to similar “alternative” healing modalities which aim to restore inner harmony across layers of the self – biological, psychological, social, & spiritual. I am passionate about the unique relationship between psychedelic medicines & humans, & believe these medicines can bring great healing to individuals & to the world at large. My healing practices have become life-long partners that support me to continue to evolve into my best self.
I am a humanitarian at heart, & a neurodivergent individual with a creative approach to life. I often find myself in in-between spaces, intuitively positioning myself as a bridge between oppositions. Rather than ascribing myself to one belief system or worldview, I believe that the merging of many worldviews, when done respectfully and consciously, can assist humans to join together towards a common goal. My care for collective health, & passion for justice lead me to study & work as a Social Worker in Mental Health and Addictions. After obtaining my Masters in Social Work, I transitioned to working as a Counsellor, which appeals to my caring, intuitive, & creative nature. I appreciate being able to work 1:1 with individuals to provide guidance & care tailored to their unique needs, values, history, & worldview. I believe we are all in this together, & are here to help walk each other home.
