Our COVID-19 Response for Counselling in Victoria, BC

We have adapted our operations to ensure that we are in compliance with public health guidelines set out by the BC Government and WorkSafeBC. Along with these guidelines we have also taken additional precautions to keep our clients, counsellors, and employees safe.

We continue to offer the option of either remote counselling or in-person counselling.  Please be aware that the number of in-person sessions available may be limited depending on the counsellor.

You are welcome to read our detailed COVID Safety Plan, but here is a summary of the most important information:

Pre-session Symptom Checklist

Previous to your session you will receive an email pre-session COVID-19 checklist to complete. Please review this pre-session symptom checklist and if you develop any of the symptoms on this checklist leading up to any of your appointments, please cancel or reschedule your appointment.

Upon Arrival to Your Session

As you wait for your counsellor in our socially distanced waiting area please wear a mask and use the provided hand sanitizer. The maximum number of people that can wait in the area at the top of the staircase to the 2nd floor is 3. This very rarely happens, but if it should happen that there are already 3 people waiting there, please wait at the front door on the ground floor.

Therapy Room

Therapists and clients are required to wear masks when moving to and from the session room, through hallways & all common areas. Any client or counsellor may remain masked &/or request the other to remain masked throughout the session.

Wipe Down Protocols

We have established a routine of wipe down protocols to keep you safe. Thank you for helping us keep our appointment times to 50 minutes so we have time to finish the wipe-downs between appointment times.

Again, thank you very much for working with us to help us keep our office space open safely for in-person counselling. If you have any concerns or observations, please bring them to our attention, & we will work to address them in a timely manner.
